BOOST – Mentoring for Social Impact through Sport

Period: 2025-2026
Role of OPES: partner
Website: BOOST Sport

The Project

BOOST is a European mentoring and capacity‑building programme dedicated to professionals working in sport for social impact.

The project is based on the idea that Sport for Social Impact requires two complementary elements: a solid organisational structure and an educational design capable of generating impact. BOOST supports entry‑level and mid‑level professionals in developing skills, projects, and practices that strengthen sports organisations oriented toward social change.

Objectives

BOOST guides participants in developing or strengthening a concrete project that uses sport as a tool for positive social change. Mentoring helps clarify objectives, strengthen skills, overcome obstacles, and transform a vision into concrete actions.

Activities and Expected Results

The programme is structured as a six‑month mentoring pathway, in which participants are supported by experienced mentors. Through design thinking, co‑learning, and practical implementation, mentees work on strengthening their organisations and the impact of their programmes in sport and through sport.

OPES participates as a consortium partner, contributing to the educational, project‑based, and social dimensions of the programme and to the promotion of sport as a tool for positive change in communities.
